Step 1: Connect Facebook and Instagram
Go to Settings in your GHL dashboard.
Navigate to Integrations.
Ensure that both Facebook and Instagram are connected.
To confirm the connection:
Go to Conversations.
Check if your Instagram and Facebook messages appear in the conversation list.
Step 2: Set Up Automation for Instagram or Facebook
Once your accounts are connected, head over to the Automation section.
Select the specific use case for either Instagram or Facebook.
Under the use case, click the + (plus) sign to add a new trigger.
Step 3: Create a Trigger Based on Customer Reply
In the trigger setup:
Select Customer Replied as the event.
Choose either Instagram or Facebook as the reply channel.
Add a filter that contains a specific phrase (keyword).
For example, if you want Charlie to be triggered by the keyword "strong" on Instagram, input that as the filter.
Step 4: Repeat the Process for the Other Platform
If you want to trigger Charlie on both Facebook and Instagram:
Complete the trigger setup for one platform first (e.g., Instagram).
After saving, copy the same process and apply it for the other platform (e.g., Facebook).
Ensure that for Facebook, you:
Select Facebook as the reply channel.
Input the desired keyword to trigger Charlie.
Step 5: Save and Test
Name the automation appropriately (e.g., FB Trigger or IG Trigger) to keep things organized.
Save the automation setup.
Test the setup by interacting with your Instagram or Facebook account to verify that Charlie is triggered based on the keyword filter.
