July 2025, Release notes

Last updated: November 18, 2025

Charlie goes omni-channel: July was all about stability and making your baseline functions unstoppable. Instead of choosing between voice or text, you now get both working together automatically. These three foundational improvements transformed how Charlie handles leads.

1. Voice Redials Activate DM Setter

When leads don't answer voice calls, Charlie automatically triggers the DM agent to send a text message. Your voice agent calls twice, and if the lead still doesn't pick up, the DM setter immediately takes over.

What this unlocks:

  • True omni-channel coordination with both voice and text working simultaneously

  • Whichever channel gets the lead first wins and proceeds with that conversation

  • No more choosing between voice or text – you get both automatically

2. Zapier Native Actions

Charlie now integrates with Zapier through native triggers, letting you fire workflows based on Charlie events. When bookings, CTAs, or disqualifications happen, Zapier automatically triggers your next action.

Highlights:

  • Six trigger events available: booking reached (DM/Voice), CTA reached (DM/Voice), DQ reached (DM/Voice)

  • Perfect for non-native CRM users who want to connect Charlie to their tech stack

  • Chain use cases together based on actions taken inside Charlie

3. Team Functions Rebuilt

The entire team system was refactored to work better and scale properly. Teams are now created automatically for new accounts, with cleaner permission structures and billing tied to teams rather than users.

Benefits:

  • Automatic default team creation for all new accounts

  • Unlimited team members per team (billing is per team, not per user)

  • Clear permission levels: owner controls billing and integrations, admins/editors/viewers get appropriate access
