Step-by-Step Guide: Connecting the AI Setter with GHL (GoHighLevel)

Step 1: Load Snapshot into GHL

  1. Watch the previous video on how to import the snapshot into your GHL account.

  2. Ensure the snapshot is properly loaded and integrated into your GHL system.

Step 2: Copy and Paste the Charlie API Key

  1. Go to the AI Setter dashboard in your system.

  2. Find the button labeled "API Key" and click it to copy the key to your clipboard.

  3. In GHL, navigate to Settings > Custom Values.

  4. Find Charlie API Key, click the three dots, and select Edit Custom Value.

  5. Paste the API key under the "Value" section and hit Update.

Step 3: Set Up Automation for Charlie Native Use Cases

  1. Go to the Automation section in GHL.

  2. Locate Charlie Native Use Cases and open Native AI 1.

  3. Ensure the name of the use case matches the naming convention used in GHL for clear organization.

  4. For the Wait Time, decide how long Charlie should wait before kicking in, typically between 5 to 15 minutes, depending on your marketing strategy (e.g., waiting for the customer to book from a VSSL).

Step 4: Integrate the AI Setter with GHL

  1. Once you’ve integrated the AI Setter with GHL, you’ll see the integrated test case in the system (under the appropriate name).

  2. Select the API key from the custom values and set the source (SMS, FB Messenger, IG Messenger, etc.).

  3. Save your action and make sure to hit Save on the top right.

Step 5: Set Up Fail-Safe Workflows

  1. There are three workflows under Native Shut Off, but you only need to focus on Native Kill Switch.

  2. This workflow ensures that when a customer books a call, Charlie will automatically shut off.

  3. If someone uses certain triggers like "stop" and GHL doesn't catch it, these workflows act as a backup fail-safe.

Step 6: Automate Charlie Shutdown on Booking

  1. When the customer books a call and the appointment status is confirmed, Charlie will automatically shut off, thanks to the Kill Switch Tag.

  2. If you're using GHL’s native calendar, you don't need to take extra steps—Charlie will shut off once the appointment is confirmed.
