GHL: Snapshot Overview
Last updated: April 7, 2026
Charlie runs mostly in our end, and our own custom build servers, however it's important for you to get to know the GHL Snapshot, as it activates or deactivates Charlie for your conversations. In this quick tour we will explain you key elements that you should be aware of.
Overview:
Prerequisites
Snapshot successfully loaded into GHL account (📄 GHL: Load Snapshot )
Active Charlie AI account
Key elements
API Key: The API key allows you to connect Charlie AI to your system.
How to access: Go the settings in the left side menu, and look for "custom values" option, here you'll find the "Charlie API Key"
Automations: Here you'll find folders with workflows designed to manage Charlie. The setup is easy and user-friendly, a key condition to check for is whether there is a Charlie Kill Switch Tag. (voice setter, custom value, native shut off & native use cases)
How to access: It's located in your left side menu, beneath Marketing
Custom Values: function that allows you to input information (like submitting an application). Charlie can grab and process this data. Some customization may be required for your specific use case, but this option is available and can be adjusted to fit your needs.
How to access: go to the "Automations" option in the left side bar menu, and select "custom value" folder.
Native Kill Switch: It automatically deactivates Charlie based on specific triggers, such as booking an appointment. This feature is already set up, but you can customize it further to only deactivate Charlie for certain calendar events if needed.
How to access: go to the "Automations" option in the left side bar menu, and select "Native shut off" folder.
